Professional Library

red schoolhouseThe Professional Library at ERS houses approximately 4,000 books that provide a research center for teachers, librarians, and administrators. These materials cover educational theory, teaching strategies, library research skills, and curriculum-supported inquiry-based material. Current and back issues of educational and review journals are also available.

How to Search for Items Available from the Professional Library
  1. Search the Professional Library in LION
  2. Choose the type of search you wish to perform; i.e, Keyword, Author, Title, etc.
  3. A search screen window will display. In the left hand box, type your keywords, author name (last name, first name), title, etc. Make sure ERS Professional Library is displayed in the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the screen, then click Submit.
  4. A list of search results will display. Click the Extended Display button located on the upper left portion of the screen for detailed information about the list, such as call number and availability.
  5. Click on the individual title for ISBN and more detailed information on that specific title.
There are also many online resources available in the "Education Reference Sources" section of databases on LION.

How to Order Professional Library Materials
  • Email your request with the book title, author and ISBN if available to: ERSProfessionalLibrary@dpsk12.org. Your email will be answered within a day as to the status of the material you need, whether it was sent or not available.
  • Call 720.423.8108 to request material or ask questions. Leave a voice mail, if necessary, which will be answered as soon as possible.
  • Fax a list, if you have several titles to request, to 720.423.8100.
  • Come into the Professional Library and browse the collection. We are located at 1330 Fox Street, 3rd Floor South, Denver, CO 80204 and are available to help from 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
